Chuck Givner: A Versatile Veteran of Manufacturing

Chuck Givner has been a cornerstone of our manufacturing team since 2011, bringing an impressive blend of skill, dedication, and work ethic to his role. Starting as a maintenance helper and janitor making $10 an hour through a temp agency, Chuck has transformed himself into one of the most versatile employees in our facility.

Over 13 years, Chuck has accomplished what most would consider impossible. He spent nine years in the axle department and five years in circular manufacturing, becoming proficient in multiple critical roles: GFM hammer operator, pusher furnace, Burning machine operator, overhead and remote crane operator, nick and break, heat treat and blast machine operator.

His ability to simultaneously run multiple machines became legendary. “I could run the breaker and pusher furnace at the same time,” Chuck recalls, “loading materials, monitoring equipment, and keeping production flowing seamlessly.” He’s proven himself to be an invaluable multi-skilled worker.

Chuck’s wisdom for new employees is straightforward: “Learn everything you can. Don’t turn down opportunities. In this industry, being able to do multiple jobs makes you invaluable, and the more value you bring, the more secure your position is, especially in an industry with ups and downs.”

Outside of work, Chuck is a dedicated family man with three children. He’s deeply involved in their lives, traveling frequently to support their sports activities; from soccer and track events to competitive cheerleading. A passionate sports fan, Chuck follows the Steelers and Dallas
Cowboys in football, and enjoys watching basketball, particularly players like Steph Curry and LeBron James. When he’s not working or supporting his family, Chuck loves to travel and exploring new destinations.

Chuck’s journey from a $10-an-hour temp worker to a highly skilled and respected manufacturing professional is more than a personal success story. It’s a testament to the opportunities available for those willing to work hard, learn continuously, and remain adaptable.
