Mike Maxeiner
General Manager of KFM and Vice President of Business Development
Mike Maxeiner is a seasoned manufacturing executive with over 27 years of industry experience, currently serving as General Manager of KFM (Kutztown Foundry and Machine) and Vice President of Business Development for the Ferroworks Group.
Throughout his 27 years with the company, Mike has played a pivotal role in shaping the direction of Ferroworks’ subsidiaries, including McConway & Torley, Standard Forged, and Kutztown Foundry & Machine.
Mike’s core responsibility is identifying and developing new business opportunities across a variety of industrial sectors beyond the company’s traditional rail-focused foundation. He is capable of leveraging deep technical knowledge and long-standing industry relationships to create strategic partnerships that drive mutual growth.
With a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Manufacturing Engineering from Penn State University, Mike also holds a minor in IT and Economics and specialized in materials science. He has risen through a wide range of roles from his varied background – from intern to senior leadership. Throughout his tenure, Mike has led several transformative initiatives, including establishing the Kutztown melt shop and developing new forging and casting capabilities across the group.
With an entrepreneurial spirit, Mike brings a unique blend of strategic thinking and operational execution to his work. His leadership is grounded in technical excellence and a deep understanding of shop-floor realities.
